Human Migration

Although much has changed throughout history, the factors that influence human migration have mostly remained the same. Describe examples from your research and our work in class in your response.

The factors that lead to human migration have always been for a better life, or a less terrible one. Before for settlers it was more freedom, it could be political or religious, but nowadays, as in the Syrian refugee crisis that happened a few months ago, people are leaving their countries for violence, in the civil war more than 4,000,000 people left their homes in search for a more secure place to live.

Colonies

The colonies that would be best for living in the 17th century would be pensylvania, since it offers more political/religious freedom and is a colony were everyone is accepted. The government is more organized and eveything is garanteed for the citizens.

Some factors that would make me go somewhere new today would be education, because high quality education is most of the time offered somewhere else, or security, since were we live today suffers from it. They are similiar to the reasons why the colonists left their land to go build another one because they expected a better future and a better life.

Roanoke A.C.E Blogpost Theory Evaluation

What I really Think happened to the lost colony was they moved into the mainland with a native group, as said in one of the theories. This could have happened since the settlers left behind would find other communities, they could have been welcomed and joined. This theory found in the article "The lost Colony of Roanoke" many supporting details lead to this theory such as the finding of natives with gray eyes. "Our main hypothesis is that the lost Colony moved into the mainland with the Croatoans" Natives People's Magazine "has used methods as varied as deed research, archaeological digs and satellite imaging" they have studied this theory in order to prove it right. As a extension, I would like to connect this theory to the Big Bang Theory because it has many other theories that go against it, and still it is the one many people believe, it has had many research and many people go against it.

A.C.E Blogspot

What should the reputation of Christopher Colombus be? Use the articles read in class as evidence to form your opinion.

The reputation of Christopher Colombus, was he committed unspeakable crimes and did non-human acts. According to the articles he came just to explore and ended up destroying a whole community. In my opinion, someone who claims he discovered a land, where there had been millions of people for the past hundred years is just someone who should be considered a liar and fraud. He came and slaved the natives massacred people and mistreated everyone around him. After the natives giving him everything they had, Colombus made them look savage and aggressive in front of everyone. As a extension I connect everything we have learned to nowadays, where we know we made something wrong and we know there are more people doing corrupt acts and damage to other people.

Early American Populations

The "face of north america" was drastically altered as a result of early encounters between Native Americans and Europeans. Cite evidence from the document.

Early encounters between Native Americans and European settlers caused alteration in what was already thought between the two groups, Document 8 explains that what was said about the native americans being the savage, was just a statement to protect people from knowing that they did something as well, blaming them, but it is now revealed in this document that the settlers were mistreating them as well. What the europeans were saying was just to blame the native americans about all the battles, making them look bad and everyone saying that they were the ones who were doing everything while the europeans were just trying to make peace. They care more about what their people will think of them than what they will believe the native americans did.

Current Event Source Evaluation

Drunken Pilot Admits To Drinking Before The Flight

1.This is a primary source because it is talking about something they witnessed, in this case, the court trial in which they were sentenced to prison and admitted of the whole act.

2. The source provides a point of view, from the day of the trial, a investigation of the alcohol amount the pilot consumed and direct quoting from the interview of the sentenced. This was discovered with investigations and interviews made by the BBC news. All of the sources where used against the pilot during trial.

3. I think this source is a reliable source because it is part of the BBC news, which report news that are confirmed with a point of view and investigations, this have a very strong argument and is full of facts, either than opinions. Also, since it is a primary source, it makes it a more trust able source since it is made with real evidence and was presence with the people who wrote the article.

4. A very important question the source did not answer was the outcome of the plane, to whether they found a new pilot or had to cancel the flight, we could find the answer to this question by finding another article that is written based on similar facts but is more extended.
